A look back at 2023!

Looking back through our photos from last year, we realized we have much to be thankful for!

Enjoy!

We mostly stayed in the US this year.

Still, we made the most of short & long trips to Los Angeles, Rochester, NYC, Pittsburgh, Sacramento, Pt Reyes, Sonoma, Lake Tahoe, Finger Lakes (Ithaca, Penn Yan, Naples), Santa Cruz, Denver, & Las Vegas.

We enjoyed going to more concerts (Indigo Girls, Yoke Lore, Junior Boys, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kronos Quartet), visits from friends who live out of state, neighborhood festivals, picnics at Dolores Park, nights out, hanging with friends at the beach, 5Ks (Hot Chocolate Run), Giants games, and jaunts to the MOMA, Cal Academy of Sciences, and the DeYoung for various exhibits.

Zahava had a full year of fun & adventure…

  • She had an epic karaoke party for her 11th birthday!

  • She spent six days in the Sierra foothills for her first overnight camp (Camp Tawonga).

  • She played on her school’s soccer team & ran cross-country.

  • Rediscovered UrbanAir in Sacramento (absurd indoor trampoline, climbing, and zipline oasis).

  • She continues to develop her Mandarin, writing, math, and presentation skills.

  • Explored her passion for clothing design.

  • And, went camping.

We spent two months in Rochester, New York, with family and explored Pittsburgh — which we fell in love with!

We ate Balsam Bagels every day we could and tapped out on Abbott’s Frozen Custard — so, so good.

And, yes, that is the bike from Pee Wee’s Big Adventure.

In NYC, we connected with friends and experienced an incredible magic show (Speakeasy Magick). We took to new heights at SUMMIT One Vanderbilt and Edge NYC. And, we caught an outdoor concert and comedy show (Carly Rae Jepsen & Jo Firestone).

For any Broad City fans, we recreated the route Abbi and Ilana took from the tippity top of Manhattan Island to the tippity bottom, including an epic karaoke night with friends at RPM Underground.

Aaron is pursuing a degree in Architecture, so we soaked up the supertalls and other cutting-edge developments while visiting New York.

We’re looking forward to an exciting year ahead!
